The developmental
evolution of the whole or a part of an embryo; the sequence whereby complex
microcosm-macrocosm interchanges occur which further develop the microcosms
given form or structure. For example, the maturation of an adult mammal from a
fertilized ovum, biological evolution, human learning, and societal development.
