John Leslie
Oxford-educated,
John Leslie served on the faculty of the Philosophy Department at the
University of Guelph, Ontario, until he became Professor Emeritus recently so
as to pursue his own research. Elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of
Canada, he was the British Academy - Royal Society of Canada Exchange Lecturer
for 1998. His books include
Universes (1989), and The End of
the World: The Science and Ethics
of Human Extinction (1996). He
also edited Modern Philosophy and
Cosmology (1998).
